At the 2003 NRHA Derby in Oklahoma City, Doug rode Megastar Kid to win the Limited Open Derby. Doug and Megastar also made the Intermediate Open Finals, and earned over $3,700 during the show. Megastar Kid and Doug were also the 2001 NRBC Limited Open Champions.
